About Dr. Noah Stern
Dr Noah Stern earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree for Queen’s University in 2014 completing his studies in Life Sciences with a specialization in pharmacology and toxicology. He subsequently obtained his MD in 2018 from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University where he later matched to Western Urology for residency. Upon completing his well-rounded residency and successfully challenging the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada exam he has opted to pursue a fellowship in Reconstructive, Female, and Neurourology under the mentorship of Dr Sender Herschorn to further develop an expertise in reconstructive urology, functional urology, and post cancer survivorship. He continues to pursue his passion for post-cancer survivorship through his practice at Truva Men’s Health and maintains privileges at both North York General Hospital and Mackenzie Health.
Through his career Dr Stern has been involved in multiple training and leadership positions including serving as the president of his medical student society, acting as the resident lead for Western Urology’s Program Director Selection Committee and their CaRMS committee, serving on the Department of Surgery’s Narcotics Reduction Working Group and helping establish and expand a now (nearly) Ontario-wide Urology bootcamp aimed at orientating incoming urology residents. He remains actively engaged in academic medicine including his collaboration with the International Society of Sexual Medicine, where he served as lead author on an international consensus statement outlining best practices in the medical and surgical management of erectile dysfunction.
Dr Stern has been the recipient of local and provincial awards for his leadership and research including Most Valuable Resident as voted by his peers for his leadership, camaraderie, and teaching, as well as the Dr John Denstedt Masters of Surgery Research Excellence Award for his Master’s project working with Statistics Canada investigating the impact of ethnicity and immigration of prostate cancer mortality in Canada.
